What makes this different?
We know the frustration: If only there was a safe and guided place to work on things with your dog, set up so that everyone has the same goal, and Joe-public isn't going to let their 'friendly' off lead dog come rushing through.
You get the space to work, knowing that we have eyes on everything going on in the paddock.
We know the fear: Signing up to a class with 6-8 people in can be daunting for you stepping in to the unknown.
You'll start off solo, so you get to learn skills before you ever have to worry about another guardian, and each of you will be in a similar position.
We know the anxiety: How is my dog going to cope with so much in such a small space? - a frequent concern of indoor classes and larger groups.
We use a 2 acre paddock that gives space to work, and some areas that can be out of sight of each other when more than 1 dog is attending.
We know the expectation of judgement: What if my dog doesn't learn as quickly or we do things differently?
We are purposefully bespoke and you'll be working on your own skills, no 2 guardians and their dogs can or will be the same. You'll develop confidence in the work you are achieving, and we'll guide you through one to one, as skills become second nature.
Who is this for?
The prime time to join this workshop is with your young dog, because of the gradual opening of this workshop, we're happy to accept puppies of all ages. This is a fabulous structure for slowly introducing your dog to the world and building a Secure Attachment and relationship with YOU that trumps distractions and treats. You become the support for your dog.
Dogs of all ages are welcome, at any stage in life. Our initial requirement for joining the workshop is that they have a relationship with you where they can accept touch and support from you. If you have adopted a dog who hasn't yet built a relationship with you, we are very happy to hear from you and see where you are but this workshop may not be right for you right now. If that's the case we can offer you support separately and there's absolutely no obligation to take us up on it.
We are accepting of all aged dogs because they will not be meeting face to face or interacting closely - we will be supporting you with real life in mind, working towards a point where you become the most important thing to your dog.
We offer:
How to support your dog in real time
How minor tweaks to daily life can make big differences
Understanding your dogs language - ear language, body language, vocal language
WHY your dog behaves the way they do - the root cause of behaviour
How to respond to your dogs' behaviour, and why the behaviour isn't the problem - it's the key
Understanding toileting: nothing is done by accident
Is it actually prey drive? Are you rewarding your dog for chasing wildlife hours after its' happened?
Building your confidence in working with your dog
Supporting you through the tough days - we know you'll have them because we have them too.
We are not offering: Training. This isn't a workshop to teach your dog to heel, sit, stay etc. When you have a secure attachment with your dog and understand their language, build that strong connective bond and your dog feels safer, they will naturally stay close, stay in tune with you and you'll find more of the enjoyment you were hoping for when you first brought your dog home.
Workshop Structure
1st Home Session: This is a Meet & Greet and assessment opportunity and happens before you sign up to the workshop. £60 paid in advance which is taken off the cost of the workshop should you choose to sign up. This means you get to meet us, ask questions and we can start to support you and your dog BEFORE any big financial decisions. We know that while this workshop is amazing value for money, it's still an investment we want you to be happy with. We will be honest about whether your dog is in the right place to join the workshop*, and you will receive an email that will have tips for you to start working on with your dog whether you join the workshop or not.
If you choose to sign up, you'll gain whatsapp support straight away so that the tips we mention in your email are supported straight away.
2nd Home Session: Here we will talk more in depth about how you can support your dog, we'll have discussed options for how your dog is responding to the world and any gaps in development we see. We'll support you in implementing small in home and daily changes to set both you and your dog up for success over the next 9-10 weeks.
On to Paddock Work
You start with 2:1 guidance - that's 2 coaches supporting you in the early sessions with no other dogs in view (potential for a stooge dog if appropriate). 3 sessions in the paddock solo will help you and your dog feel safer in the space and allow you to put in to practice what you've learnt so far.
Progressing to 1:1 guidance - we'll progress to having 2 dogs and their guardians in the paddock, each with their own 1:1 support, which means you can have the confidence of 100% supporting your dog while we keep watch, and offer guidance if and where needed. This means we can also role model to you how something can look. You'll rotate partners over the 3 sessions, altering the
Finally, in the last 2 sessions, we'll have all 4 dogs and their guardians in the paddock - with plenty of space between you, even a 'check out' area where you and your dog can switch off for a bit. By now you'll have gained in skills and confidence to support your dog, with 1 coach between 2.
Introductory Price: £580 (Saving over £500 on booking these sessions individually!)

Guarantee
We Guarantee to support you in a non-judgmental environment and be empathetic to your situation. No matter the history, if you decide today that you want to work towards a better future, we are here to help you.
We are here to support you, but it is up to you to follow guidance and put in the work both in sessions and at home in between - we offer the whatsapp support to help keep you on track and support you through any problems you may have come up, however it is your responsibility to let us know when support is needed, when mistakes happen, when a bad day happens, so we can support you through it. We have those bad days too, and know it can be hard to ask for help. Help us to give you the very best experience.
Equipment
For sessions, your dog will need a well fitted y-shaped harness and/or flat collar plus a minimum 6ft lead. We recommend a 3 metre long line such as this 3m Waterproof Long Line which is excellent for grip in wet and dry weather. Extendable leads are not suitable. Dogmatic and halti headcollars may be acceptable for large breeds where safety is a real concern.
If your dog currently uses a prong collar, figure 8 head halter or slip lead, we are happy to hear from you if your intention is to upskill and move away from these devices - acceptance will be based on your dogs response to touch and support in the discovery home meet.
If you're interested in the workshop, please fill out the form below and we will be in touch to arrange a discovery call.
We look forward to hearing from you
Reya (Andrea) & Hannah
