Guided Session Packages

3 x sessions over 3 weeks to guide you in understanding and supporting your dog, with daily

whatsapp/video support as you need it.

If you're someone who finds that daily life and walks with your dog aren't quite what you'd always hoped for:  you and your dog get easily stressed, perhaps they bark at triggers constantly, pull on the lead, lunge and growl at dogs, people, vehicles or birds.  They might play keep away when it's time to put their harness on, they could be lacking confidence or fearful when out and you just don't know why, or you could have a hyper-mobile dog obsessed with sticks, balls and zooming around at 100mph!  You may find this frustrating, embarrassing, or simply don't know how to support them.  You find your anxiety about walks comes and goes, or just keeps growing!  You wonder where you went wrong, because you followed all the advice and thought you were doing the best thing for your dog, but somehow, it's not the dream you imagined.  It could be that your walks are fine, but your dog can't settle or rest in the home - maybe they're fine with one person but struggle with another or when you're both together, or they display undesireable behaviours at home and you're not sure why.

Alternatively, if you've been brought up with one way of living with and working with your dog, and you feel like you're missing something, or what you've been taught doesn't sit right with you, these guided walks are a great transition and source of information!

Whether you're struggling out on walks or at home, or you feel like what you've been taught isn't sitting right, this ISN'T your fault - you are the key to calmer, more enjoyable walks and a happier home life - we just need to unlock your potential, and show you step by step:

  • Canine Body Language to look out for and social cues you may be missing or misinterpreting

  • Why your dog does what they do, and what they might be responding to.

  • How to alter your walks to set you and your dog up for success

  • How to slow things down, and learn how to support your dog through situations that can worry you both

  • Looking at the preparation before the walk, and the importance of regulating and supporting your dog when you get home

  • Anything we can change for your dog at home to help them to cope a little better.

What do these programmes look like?

I offer a 3 x 90 minute (average) session package over 3 weeks, structured as follows:

  • Session 1, day 1 - Meeting you where you are.  I join you at home, you prepare for your walk as normal and we head out on your normal walk to look at how things go at your current stage.  There's zero judgement, simply observation from me and guidance where needed.  When we get home we talk through how things went, any thoughts and feelings about any situations that came up, but nothing too intense.  (If your dog isn't ready for walks or we're looking at in home behaviour, that's where we hold sessions).  I'll follow up with an email assessment and observations, together with suggestions for you to change on your walks and in the home for the next week before...

  • Session 2, day 5-7 - The first guided walk.  We start putting things in to practice and I offer guidance throughout a walk, talking you through what we're seeing in your dog, how they're responding to the environment, looking at how you're feeling and the potential for anticipating potential problems.  We slow things down and set you up for success.  You have a 2nd set of eyes watching out for you, so that you can completely focus on your dog and support them through the walk.  When home, we'll regulate and support your dog so that they can settle and start to process the walk.  We'll talk through the differences and how you felt this went, and I'll provide you with a written update on what we've worked on, observations and how you can continue to support your dog for the next 2 weeks until...

  • Session 3, day 18-21 -  We repeat session 2 - this time I will of course be there to guide where needed, and anything new I will support you through, but you'll be putting in to practice what you've learned over the last 2 weeks.  I'll still be your eyes where needed, and offering support and guidance - your confidence and ability to support your dog will be growing!

In between sessions, you will have daily whatsapp support where needed, you never need to wait for the next session to discuss problems.  Messaging, voice notes or phone/video calls are included so you can get advice while the question is still in your head.

This mini programme is designed to give you skills to recognise what your dog is telling you, choose walks and support your dog, which will keep improving with time.  They are not a training programme for your dog - but to enable you to better understand their needs and communication.  Once we've finished these sessions, if you want to extend and keep having guided sessions, or look at my 6 monthly/yearly support programmes, we can continue while you grow in confidence and keep up the support level.  You may feel that by understanding your dog a little better, that's enough for you to work with yourself, which is the aim!

If you are struggling and need an extra session between 2 and 3, we can input that extra session to ensure you're fully supported.

Discovery call:  Free

Meet & Greet if needed (if your dog is unsure of people, this is a necessary step to know if relationship build visits are needed) £45

Relationship build sessions - If your dog will struggle just because of my presence, we'll need to work on this to ensure you benefit from the programme:  See details on Relationship Building on the Dog Walking page.  I do not need a relationship with intent to work with your dog, just enough of one that they are not worried by me being there.

3 week guided programme including daily whatsapp support:  £195 - January Special (normal price £245).

Additional 60 min session between session 2-3:  £50

Continual supported sessions 45-60 min:  £50 or save with booking 5 sessions:  £225 (includes whatsapp support)

Ongoing whatsapp/video/call support (without in person sessions) £30/month

All payments made in advance.  Adhoc sessions paid in arrears invoiced 21st of the month.  Payment plans available but must be paid before programme starts.
