Solo Enrichment, Support Visits & Walks
Suitable for all dogs, from your newly vaccinated puppy, to the golden oldies. These sessions are tailored to your dog and their capabilities and can be offered in the home, or when suitable, out on walks, finding suitable and quiet spaces to give your dog a relaxed and enriching session. Perfect for dogs that struggle ('reactive'), these sessions start with me building a relationship with them which enables us to have a trusted partnership so that they are fully emotionally supported when it's time to go out into the world.
Why trust me with your dog?
I am not a dog walker. Far from it. While that is what I technically started with and even what some people think of me as, this isn't what I offer.
As a Canine Development Specialist, I have the privilege of supporting dogs with their needs. This includes assessing day to day, hour to hour and minute to minute changes in them, the environment, recognising recent stressors and understanding what they are telling me in the moment. They had a stressful weekend? Your dog lets me know this when I arrive and we adapt our session to help regulate them. They don't feel up to a walk? They'll let me know. We're out on a walk and the environment changes? I recognise that as quickly as they do and make decisions to keep your dog safe based on their responses.
Once I have built a relationship with your dog, we really can have that conversation and understanding between us (I can teach this to you too!)

Meet & Greet - £45 (30-45 mins) with written suggested plan - full information before you decide to proceed.

Times are door to door ie the time I spend from arrival to leaving.
Would you like to join/observe and ask questions as we go? +£15/hr (one off or each session)
Area covered: within 15 minutes of RG7 5HR. Additional cost £5/visit up to 20 minutes from RG7 5HR.
Relationship and Trust building
A lot of dogs will need some sessions to build trust and get to know me - to know that I am safe, and can keep them safe and make good choices for them - these are charged at the same rate as the 1 hour solo visits (30 minutes for puppies under 6 months).
Should a dog need more: help regulating, supporting a fear or anxiety - we'll be looking at a support package in the home which will include some Hemene Work, developing a trusted relationship with your dog building up to leaving the house. Booked in blocks of 5, this will likely need to be repeated until your dog can feel safe enough with me to enjoy their enrichment or walks.

Secure Field Walks
A lot of dogs benefit from secure field walks, guaranteeing no meets with the public or off lead dogs, enabling them to be off lead, safe and secure. I use a selection of fields for variety, these range from £10 - £14 per hire. This cost is on top of the rates below.
Your dog will enjoy the full 50-55 minutes in the field (this can include settle/rest time for puppies and older dogs), meaning they will be out of the house for up to 90 minutes.
1-3 dogs from same household: £45 plus hire
Please note if you live more than 15 minutes from the mutually chosen field, there will be an additional £5 charge towards vehicle running costs
1-4 social dogs from 2-4 neighbours
(within 5 min radius of each other)
2 households: £50 plus hire
3 households: £55 plus hire
4 households: £60 plus hire
Cost split between households (or per dog) - finding some neighbours for a community secure field walk is a great way to save! Dogs must already walk together.
